The Bach Classic 6.5AL Trombone Mouthpiece (Large Shank) has a medium deep cup, with a medium wide, well-rounded rim shape. It has the same cup, throat, and backbore as the 6.5AL small shank tenor trombone mouthpiece but with a bass shank. It requires a well developed embouchure.

The Bach Classic 6.5AL Trombone Mouthpiece (Small Shank) has a medium deep cup with a medium wide, well rounded rim shape. It has the same rim and cup as a 6.5A but with a larger "G" throat and #420 backbore, for trombonists who strive for a Teutonic tone quality.
