The Schott Violin Library contains eleven varied Baroque sonatas for violin and continuous bass. Apart from the popular sonatas by Corelli, Vivaldi, Handel and Telemann, it also contains lesser known, yet very charming compositions, e.g. by Dall' Abaco, Pepusch or Finger. All works range between the low and intermediate levels of difficulty. Some of them can be played entirely in the first position while others require a few changes of position. The sonatas by Dall' Abaco, Kirchhoff, Vivaldi and Handel, however, require the ability to play fluently in the first three positions.Includes: A.
