The Katana-25 distils the renowned Katana sound into a compact 25-watt amp built for home practice, so new and returning players can begin with absolute confidence from the very first chord.
A custom eight-inch speaker and 25-watt analogue power section pack a serious punch, with the familiar Power Control switching between the full 25 watts and 0.5W, so players get cranked-amp tones at bedroom levels without losing tone or feel.
Six amp characters with variations cover everything from sparkling clean to high-gain “brown sound” tones, plus a dedicated character for acoustic-electric instruments. On top of that are over 60 BOSS effects, with up to five running at once.
Simplifying the top panel for the new player, the Tone Setting section makes it easy from day one. It has 20 dialled-in presets ready to play, 10 empty slots for custom sounds, a clear display, a tap tempo button for delays and a built-in tuner. Gain, volume and three-band EQ shape the rest.
Built-in Bluetooth streams audio from a phone or tablet so players can jam along with songs. It also connects wirelessly to the Tone Studio companion app for deep editing and patch sharing on BOSS Tone Exchange. The app’s Session function plays YouTube songs and video lessons and can change Tone Settings automatically as the video plays.
When it’s time to record, the class-compliant USB-C interface connects straight to a computer or mobile device. There’s also a dedicated output for quiet headphone practice.
