This arrangement of Cory “C” is identical in form of the original concert band version, but for full Big Band instrumentation. Written in a laid back ‘Basie’ style, this swing chart has very reasonable ranges with plenty of rhythmic interest to help develop ‘tight’ playing. Solo space for trumpet (written solo with changes), and an ‘a Capella’ band section provide lots of variety. “Cory” is a pet long-billed corella, a species of cockatoo found in south-east Australia.
