Merrily We Stroll Along by Thom Sharp is written in 4/4 time but felt in a lazy 2, every section gets a chance to play the catchy two-bar rhythmic motif that holds the whole piece together. That unifying motif is found upside down, shortened to one bar, and even played backwards as the piece progresses. Oh, and to add to the fun, a couple of nice long melodies are presented over the top of the motif from time to time. (2:00)
