By Astor Piazzolla.

Combining the valuable knowledge learned from his teachers Alberto Ginastera and Nadia Boulanger, with phrasing borrowed from jazz, Astor Piazzolla made the tango swing with new life. His tango was a distinctively modern form that he exploited with his new quintet which achieved lame with their "tango nuevo". Histoire du Tango is one of his most famous compositions and attempts to convey the history and evolution of the tango in four movements: Bordello 1900, Café 1930, Nightclub 1960, and Concert d'Aujourd'hui. Intermediate to advanced level.
