Sea Chant is dedicated to the memory of Mr Sculthorpe's housekeeper of 20 years Dorothy Hockley andit was her favourite piece of music.

The Left Bank Waltz  was one of his mother's favourite pieces reminding her of being in Paris. It is dedicated to her memory.

The two pieces last 4 minutes.
